( OK this is a direct translation from Chinese which is lu ci which refers to those who cannot remember roads/routes that they frequently pass by)
But then again who wasn't a road blind back then?
Little road blind Denise, cute anot?
The only problem is I never grew out of being a road blind.
The above is Genting's outdoor theme park.
OK if you have ever been to Genting, you will know that there are many different routes especially in the indoor &outdoor theme park.
We always got lost( as in couldn't find the way back to our hotel/to the rides/games that we intend to play).
And when we got lost my brother the map brain always manage to get us out of the maze. Me on the other hand just followed around like a blind mice.
I just couldn't remember the way.
I don't know why.
OK so back to the point of the post, driving test.
I went for my driving test last Tuesday & failed miserably. But I'm not ashamed of it.
I had a driving agent who seriously pissed me off.
Everyone's entitled to 8 hours of practice before the test but I can honestly say that I got less than that.
She taught me on Friday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday.
Most of the sessions she made me wait for her in the driving school like a dumb dumb. Either that or she drops me at the driving school and then goes out to fetch other students.
On Sunday she made me wait for her for more than an hour.
She didn't tell me that before reversing to park my car, I had to be facing this T mark on the wall in front. She taught me all these wrong markings and times that I had to turn my steering wheel before turning into a parking space.
The worse is that a day before my actual driving test which was on Tuesday , she decided to CANCEL MY LAST PRACTICE AT THE LAST HOUR.
Just imagine that you're gonna be sitting for a very important test and the day before your test you couldn't do ANY LAST REVISIONS.
I have seen most of my classmates( sometimes, including myself )taking a last peep into revision books before the exam paper was handed out.
So imagine your privilege of taking last peeps were taken away from you.
To top it off, imagine your books were taken away from you a day before your test.
So I decided to retake my driving test as of today. Yesterday I had one last lesson and a Malay uncle taught me.
I guess my agent had errands to run or something like that and I THANK GOD SHE WASN'T THE ONE WHO GAVE ME MY LAST LESSON. Because the Malay guy taught me all the right techniques , he actually taught me all the important things which I DIDN'T know before this. One day of his lesson = 1 whole week of my agent's lesson with MORE CORRECT INFORMATION .
Wth.
OK so today I was really nervous, I got up at 7.30AM and got ready and at 8.15AM my agent drove me to the driving school.
I was the last of my session which was the second session and by the time it was my turn to do the naik bukit and parking ( part A of the exam; there are 2 parts, A - going up the hill/2 types of parking. and B - driving on the road ) it was already 12PM. I swear there was an orchestra going on in my stomach by the time it was my turn because I decided to skip breakfast.
I PASSED part A of my exam and then was waiting for my turn to go on the road.
For part B , there are 3 different roads that you have to remember. A being the easiest and fastest route and C being the hardest and longest route.
Lucky me got route C last week and lucky me got route C again this week.
Route A n B looks like the alphabet P in the map.
Route C
For both route A & B you have to pass by a stadium.
For route C you have to pass by a stadium a school and a hospital.
And as I said earlier lucky me was the last of my session and when it was time for my test it was approximately 1.10PM and guess what's luckier than getting the hardest route of the test?
It was after school time & there were many road
if you have been to the area around Manjung's school/ Hospital you would've known the condition that I was in.
Students were crossing the road like their grandfather owns it. Bicycles were flying around like magical broomsticks and patience-less parents were over taking cars to get to the school earlier.
It's not that I'm trying to be a racist or anything but MALAYS ARE SERIOUSLY THE MOST RECKLESS DRIVERS THAT I HAVE SEEN.
In my head I was telling myself to be patient and bear with this suicidal people because afterall patience is virtue.
So at the last turning when there was a big STOP sign(BERHENTI sign actually because I'm living in Malaysia and most of the signboards are written in Malay) , I stopped and waited for cars to pass.
There was a petite little primary boy on his bicycle waiting like me to turn. I wanted to turn to the left ( to go back to my driving school ) He wanted to turn to the right.
when the coast was clear, I waited for this Malay boy to go first.
-waits- , the boy doesn't move.
-let go of my handbrake and starts moving- THE BOY DECIDED TO MOVE.
OK
So I almost killed him but thank god I braked on time. Amen.
My tester was mortified. He said that it was the little BOY'S fault but seeing that I almost knocked someone down, it's against the law to let me pass my test.
wtf?
thank you little boy.
I WAS SO SAD THAT I
How unfair was that :( If only he had decided to MOVE WHEN I LET HIM. I WOULD'VE PASSED MY TEST!!!!!
The disappointment sunk deeper into me when I got home and My ♥ and dad called me.
I felt like a useless failure.
even now while I'm typing this post I can still feel a pang of disappointment.
Ok I know that it's not the end of the world. But I'll have to wait until after my trials to sit for the next test :(
So for the meanwhile, I have to be focusing on my studies instead of this driving test.
Oh yes, I didn't blog yesterday because I went for a dinner at a temple in Kg. Cina ( Not sure if it's kg. cina or acheh I'm confused as you know I don't remember places )
They were collecting donations from companies and had a Chinese-wedding-like dinner(minus the groom & the bride but with that type of loud music and food ) for those who donated.
Dato' Seri Kong Cho Ha was the vip guest and our TNB decided to give us a candle light dinner. ( the electricity went off )
OT
Guess what's this.
